The Principle and founder, Keith Mander, has served the Corrugated and Paper Converting industries since 1974 initially in Senior Design Electrical Engineering roles and subsequently the founder of Avanti Conveyors Ltd. Graduating with a First Class Honours in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 1972, whilst employed in the steel and non-ferrous wire industry, he moved on to the corrugated industry as Chief Electrical Engineer for Simon Container Machinery, to help pioneer the "Instant-Order-Change" and Rotary Knife "Direct Drives", and later joined Universal Corrugated Machinery in Germany as Group Electrical Engineer. In both roles his concentration was on Corrugator and Litho-Laminator automation. Founding the controls & automation company Corrtronic, in 1981, Keith created computer, Servo and electronic automation of Corrugators, Flexo-Folder Gluers and Litho-Laminators. In late 1988, after the successful sale of Corrtronic to Harland Simon PLC, Keith founded Avanti Conveyors (originally Roll-Line Systems). Avanti specialises in large highly automated conveyors systems for corrugated plants originally using Pentek & ACS roller conveyors and now based on plastic belt conveyors. Retiring as Chairman of Avanti in 2016 allows time to concentrate on the Mechatronic & Long River business.
